The number of measles cases in the U.S. keeps growing. There are at least 555 confirmed cases in 20 states —
the second worst year for measles since 2000,
when the disease was eliminated, according to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. And the serious respiratory disease is surging
to “alarmingly high levels” around the world, UNICEF has warned.
Unvaccinated
children are most at risk, but as the disease spreads, more adults are
wondering if they are protected. Some of them may not be.
